Since Thomas Moran first sketched in the canyon in 1873, Zion National Park has been a serious subject for painters worldwide. Artists of every medium and style have been coming to the canyon for over a century. That legacy will carry on this November 3rd-8th as 15 fine artists converge in Zion Canyon for the Zion National Park Art Invitational.
Over the week-long event, artists will paint in various locations in and around the park and provide free community art demonstrations just outside the park gates at Cable Mountain Lodge. The pieces created will be sold with proceeds benefiting Zion National Park during the invite-only gala on Friday evening and the public Silent Auction on Saturday morning on the Zion Lodge Lawn.
