Every day in Zion comes with challenges. With more than 700 Search and Rescue calls a year, long days interacting with visitors from around the world, and the stress of the job, the resiliency of Rangers, Staff, and Employees can be pushed to the limit.
To meet the critical need to support the mental health, resiliency, and wellness of Zion Forever employees, and the public land agencies we serve we are proud to share the Isabel’s Light Employee Wellness Fund.
The support of the Sun-Blaney Family, in the founding of the Isabel’s Light Employee Wellness Fund, helps transform the resources available to help address staff mental health and resiliency. This fund is named in the loving memory of their daughter Isabel, who loved Zion National Park.
Her love for Zion will continue to live on in with the endowment of the Isabel’s Light Employee Wellness Fund. Donations to the fund will be matched by the Sun-Blaney Family dollar-for-dollar through November 6th, Isabel’s Birthday, up to $25,000.
Your donation in support of the Isabel’s Light Employee Wellness Fund impacts the physical and mental wellbeing of one of our most valuable resources, our National Park and Forest Service partner employees and employees of Zion Forever. Park Staff and Rangers who educate, conduct research, rescue visitors, and protect the public lands are a critical part of the National Park experience. The Sun-Blaney family is so thankful for the work they are doing to serve Zion and the millions of visitors from around the world.
The Isabel’s Light Employee Wellness Fund is used to support Mental Health Counseling through Family Health clinic located in Springdale, UT, employee wellness training opportunities, and additional resources that address the needs of employees across the public lands we serve.
