Insects of Zion
August 13, 2010
Come see what we can find by exploring a variety of habitats, from the Virgin River to slickrock pools and by using special techniques to attract and observe the “little things that run the world.” Over 1,000 species of insects and spiders are known from Zion, and that is only a portion of what actually lives here. Adventure with entomologist Ken Kingsley to learn to find and identify animals you have not seen before. A hand lens and a headlamp or flashlight will be helpful. This day will be suitable for young people over the age of 12 as well as adults.
