Zion Through the Lens
April 17 & 18, 2008


Learn about Zion and photography at the same time with this professional photographer and former field archaeologist whose knowledge of desert environments is extensive. Topics to be covered include controlling depth of field, exposure and contrast control, appropriate use of filters, “seeing photographically,” composition, discussion of different film emulsions, making the most of small and medium formats and more. Work in digital or with film, in color and/or black and white. Feel free to bring samples of your work for a group critique. Limited to 11 participants.
Fee: $160 (for both days)
