Zion Geology
November 8-9, 2008
On Day 1 of our trip, look into the past of Zion, where rivers meet the ocean, volcanoes erupt ash onto forests where dinosaurs live, and deserts rival the Sahara. Day 2 will focus on exploring the continual cutting and shaping of the canyon. Slot canyons and a peek at Zion Narrows will give a sense of the power of water. A look at landslides and rock falls that still occur in the park will give a sense of the ever changing landscape. Don’t miss this opportunity to gain an in-depth appreciation for Zion. Limited to 11 participants.
