BAT BIOLOGY AND CONSERVATION

Eighteen species of bats call Zion home. Learn about their natural history, their importance to our ecosystem, and what we can do to assure their survival. Examine species of bats and see why they are so often so hard to tell apart. Find out how to properly build and place a bat house. After dark we'll view and identify live bats up close as we mist net them as part of a bat study in Zion National Park.
FEE: $65
AGES: 16 years and up
INSTRUCTOR: John Taylor
MEETS: 5 pm at Zion National Park Human History Museum. The class will break for dinner @ 6:30 and continue after dinner.
