Bat Biology and Conservation

Eighteen species of bats call Zion home. Learn about their natural history, their impoprtance to our ecosystem, and what we can do to assure their survival. Examine species of bats and see why they are so often so hard to tell apart. Find out how to porperly build and place a bat house. After dark we'll view and identify live bats up close as we mist net them as part of a bat study in Zion National Park.
FEE: $55 (includes textbook)
AGES: 16 years and up
INSTRUCTOR: Tom Haraden
MEETS: 2 pm at Zion National Park Human History Museum. The class will break for dinner and continue after dinner until about midnight.
