Energy Alternatives: Solar Power in Zion and Beyond

We'll tour several buildings in Zion National Park that already utilize solar energy and we'll discuss system design, the economics of solar power, and the ecological implications of it. The discussion will cover inverter types, reducing energy consumption, battery options, panel options, panel mounts, passive versus active solar energy, byproducts of solar energy, alternative fuels, and answer questions about the nuts and bolts of solar power.
