Life Zones I: Mojave to Zion

As the first part of a two-day sequence that will visit the communities from the low Mojave Desert to alpine tundra, we will visit and discuss the ecology of desert communities around St. George and then travel to Zion Canyon and out towards the east entrance. We will make stops and take short hikes in the different community types and identify and discuss the natural history of characteristic organisims.
Each part of the two-day sequence can be taken seperately. The second part is scheduled for July 12.
FEE: $75 (Transportation included)
AGES: 16 years and up
