From learning how Zion canyon was carved by geologic processes to learning observation skills by keeping field journals, your students will be encouraged to develop new talents and improve skills that they already possess. Students will gain an appreciation for the roles of humans in ecosystems as they delve into the history of people who settled the Zion Canyon area. They will be introduced to southwestern writers whose topics included Zion and the natural world.
