Cedar Breaks NM Seeks Artists for Annual Wildflower Festival Poster Art Contest

The Cedar Breaks National Monument Wildflower Festival Coordinating Committee is sponsoring a poster art contest. The chosen artwork will be used on posters which will advertise the Wildflower Festival and also will be for donation in limited numbers at the Cedar Breaks Visitor’s Center. The Cedar Breaks National Monument Wildflower Festival is an annual event that takes place each July. Activities at the festival include guided wildflower walks; kid’s scavenger hunts, guided wildflower photography and guided hikes with Rangers. The 2011 festival will take place July 8th-22nd. The winner of this competition will have their artwork used on the poster advertising the Wildflower Festival, and also as the image for all other marketing and advertising for the festival.

Submissions must be received by May 15, 2012. Submissions must be in the form of photos, watercolors, acrylic, oils, or 3D sculpture for the 2012 Wildflower Festival Art Competition. Images should represent flora found in and around the Cedar Breaks National Monument. Entries need to be submitted in the form of a CD-R readable by any Windows XP operating system. Please do not send your actual work of art.
